Information Regarding the Transportation of Baby Strollers
Situations for Which the Airline Is Not Responsible;
For flight safety reasons, strollers are transported in the aircraft’s cargo hold along with other baggage.
For this reason, the situations listed below and any damages that may result from them will not be considered within the scope of our airline’s liability, and claims for compensation regarding these matters will not be accepted.
1. Lack of Protective Packaging
- Delivery of strollers without a protective carrying bag or protective cover.
- For baby strollers without protective packaging, scratches, dirt, friction marks, paint wear, fabric deformation, surface abrasion, minor dents, or similar damage affecting the appearance that may occur.
2. Detachable Accessories
- Failure to remove cup holders, protective bumper bars, toy attachments, organizers, phone holders, sunshades, rain covers, mosquito nets, footmuffs, seat liners, umbrellas, hook attachments, and all other removable accessories before check-in.
- Loss, missing items, breakage, or damage to accessories left on the stroller at the time of delivery or not properly secured.
3. Failure to Prepare Foldable Baby Strollers
- Failure to deliver foldable baby strollers in a fully folded condition with the locking mechanism securely fastened.
4.Moving and Delicate Parts
- Failure to properly prepare and secure wheels, handles, brake mechanisms, and similar moving, protruding, or delicate parts for carriage.
- Breakage, bending, cracking, deformation, and similar damage that may occur to these parts during carriage.
5. Damage That May Occur During Carriage
- Scratches, dirt, friction marks, paint wear, fabric deformation, minor dents, surface abrasion, and similar appearance-affecting damage that may occur due to being carried together with other baggage during loading, unloading, and carriage operations.
6. Wear and Tear Due to Use
- Normal carriage conditions resulting in ordinary wear and tear, signs of use, discoloration, and other superficial damage.
The liability of our airline shall be determined in accordance with the applicable Conditions of Carriage and the provisions of relevant national and international legislation. Our airline shall not be liable for any damage arising from the passenger’s failure to take the required protective measures or from the acceptance of a baby stroller for carriage without appropriate packaging.
